The house
Casa Sofia sits on the first floor of a building next to Siena's Duomo, in one of the most striking corners of the historic centre. The living room is generous and welcoming, with solid oak parquet, 1950s armchairs and paintings by a well-known Tuscan artist.
The kitchen is bright and spacious, with a window looking out over the city, and comes fully equipped: dishwasher, washing machine, espresso machine, microwave, toaster, kettle and USB sockets. It opens onto the main bedroom, which also enjoys rooftop views. The second bedroom, on the other side of the apartment, has a three-quarter bed and a window onto Via Franciosa.
The long bathroom has a walk-in shower and a large backlit mirror. Every bedroom has an oscillating fan.
Bars, restaurants, local shops, Piazza del Campo, the Duomo, the Baptistery, Santa Maria della Scala, the Pinacoteca, pharmacies and the taxi rank are all a short walk away.
